REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />Each outrigger control station shall incorporate the following: <br />-Outrigger beam and jack actuator controller <br />- 5th wheel lock momentary control switches. <br />-Outrigger/5th wheel lock set indicator lights. <br />-One Fast idle switch. <br />-One Ladder Operation indicator light <br />-Warning decals. <br />OUTRIGGER PADDLE CONTROLS <br />Each outrigger control station on the apparatus body shall incorporate paddle type actuators to <br />control the outrigger beam and jack functions. <br />EXTENSION CYLINDERS <br />Each extension cylinder shall have a 3.00” internal bore with a minimum 2.00” chrome plated <br />cylinder rod. <br />The extension cylinders shall be fully enclosed within the outrigger beam, preventing them from <br />being nicked or scored during operations on the fire ground. <br />JACK CYLINDERS <br />Each jack cylinder shall have a 5.00” internal bore with a 3.50” chrome plated cylinder rod. The <br />jack cylinders shall be equipped with integral (on the cylinder) holding valves, which shall hold the <br />jack cylinder in either the stowed position or the deployed position should a hydraulic line be <br />severed at any point within the hydraulic system. <br />To minimize side loading and subsequent seal failure of the vertical jack cylinder, a 1.62” wide <br />load bearing UHMW wear band shall encircle the jack cylinder barrel, providing load distribution <br />over a 360 degree plane. Designs which could allow load concentration on one side of the vertical <br />jack cylinder shall not be acceptable. <br />In order to provide faster setup time for the aerial on the fire ground, and to eliminate the possibility <br />of damage to the housing should the outriggers be retracted with the jack pins left in, designs that <br />require the use of jack pins shall not be acceptable. <br />For ease of maintenance, the outer jack tube shall be designed so that the cylinder can be <br />removed from the top. Designs that require the outrigger beams to be removed or the jack cylinder <br />positioned over a pit for jack cylinder removal, shall not be acceptable. <br />OUTRIGGER BEAM PAINT <br />The finished paint color shall be (to match) 33723 silver enamel. <br />ATTY/AGR.2025.089/Fire Apparatus Solutions (Purchase of Spartan-LTC 105' TDA) (Page 131 of 150)
