REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />AERIAL SPECIAL LABELS <br />Legible, permanent signs shall be installed in positions readily visible to the operator to provide <br />operational directions, warnings, and cautions. The signs shall describe the function of each <br />control and provide operating instructions. <br />Warning and caution signs shall indicate hazards inherent in the operation of the aerial device. <br />These hazards shall include, but shall not be limited to: <br />Electrical hazards involved where the aerial device does not provide protection to the personnel <br />from contact with, or near proximity to, an electrically charged conductor. <br />Electrical hazards involved where the aerial device does not provide protection to ground <br />personnel who might contact the vehicle when in contact with energized electrically charged <br />conductors. <br />Hazards from stabilizer motion. <br />Hazards that can result from failure to follow the manufacturer's operating instructions. <br />AERIAL DEVICE SPECIFICATION PLACARD <br />A permanent label shall disclose the following information relative to the aerial device: <br />Make <br />Model <br />Serial number <br />Date of manufacture <br />Rated capacity (s) <br />Rated vertical height <br />Rated horizontal reach <br />Maximum hydraulic system pressure <br />Hydraulic oil type and capacity <br />All other appropriate labels to ensure safe operation of the aerial device shall be permanently <br />affixed in conspicuous locations. <br />APPARATUS LEVEL INDICATOR <br />One (1) side to side and one (1) fore and aft bubble type level indicator shall be provided at each <br />outrigger control station to assist in outrigger set-up and aerial device setup.
