REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />DATA RECORDING SYSTEM <br />The chassis shall have a Weldon Vehicle Data Recorder (VDR) system installed. The system <br />shall be designed to meet NFPA 1901 and shall be integrated with the Weldon Multiplex electrical <br />system. The following information shall be recorded: <br />•Vehicle Speed <br />•Acceleration <br />•Deceleration <br />•Engine Speed <br />•Engine Throttle Position <br />•ABS Event <br />•Seat Occupied Status <br />•Seat Belt Status <br />•Master Optical Warning Device Switch Position <br />•Time <br />•Date <br />Each portion of the data shall be recorded at the specified intervals and stored for the specified <br />length of time to meet NFPA 1901 guidelines and shall be retrievable by connecting a laptop <br />computer to the VDR system. The laptop connection shall be a panel mounted female type B USB <br />connection point, remotely mounted in the left side foot well. <br />ACCESSORY POWER <br />The electrical distribution panel shall include two (2) power studs. The studs shall be size #10 and <br />each of the power studs shall be circuit protected with a fuse of the specified amperage. One (1) <br />power stud shall be capable of carrying up to a 40-amp battery direct load. One (1) power stud <br />shall be capable of carrying up to a 15-amp ignition switched load. The two (2) power studs shall <br />share one (1) #10 ground stud. <br />The Master power distribution box (MPD) shall include five (5) fuses. The battery direct bus bar <br />shall include one (1) 300-amp fuse labeled E-PUMP and one (1) 300-amp fuse labeled PUMP <br />PRIMER. The master power bus bar shall include one (1) 200-amp fuse labeled PUMP MASTER, <br />one (1) 300-amp fuse labeled BODY MASTER, and one (1) 300-amp fuse labeled AERIAL <br />MASTER. Each bus bar stud is size 5/16”. <br />AUXILIARY ACCESSORY POWER <br />An auxiliary set of power and ground studs shall be provided and installed behind the officer seat <br />with a 60 amp fuse. The studs shall be 0.38 inch diameter and capable of carrying up to a 60 <br />amp battery direct load. An additional 4.00 feet of wire shall accompany the option. <br />ADDITIONAL ACCESSORY POWER <br />An additional set of power and ground studs shall be provided and shipped loose with a 40 amp <br />breaker. The studs shall be 0.38 inch diameter and capable of carrying up to a 40 amp battery <br />direct load.
