REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />AIR HORN <br />The front bumper shall include two (2) Hadley brand E-Tone air horns which shall measure 18.00 <br />inches long with a 6.00 inch round flare. The air horns shall be trumpet style with a chrome finish <br />on the exterior and a painted finish deep inside the trumpet. <br />AIR HORN LOCATION <br />The air horns shall be recess mounted in the front bumper face, one (1) on the right side of the <br />bumper in the outboard position relative to the right-hand frame rail and one (1) on the left side of <br />the bumper in the inboard position relative to the left-hand frame rail. <br />AIR HORN RESERVOIR <br />One (1) air reservoir, with a 1200 cubic inch capacity, shall be installed on the chassis to act as a <br />supply tank for operating air horns. The reservoir shall be isolated with a 90 PSI pressure <br />protection valve on the reservoir supply side to prevent depletion of the air to the air brake system. <br />ELECTRONIC SIREN SPEAKER <br />There shall be one (1) Cast Products Inc. model SA4301, 100 watt speaker provided. The <br />speaker shall measure 6.20 inches tall X 7.36 inches wide X 3.06 inches deep. The speaker shall <br />include a flat mounting flange which shall be polished aluminum. <br />ELECTRONIC SIREN SPEAKER LOCATION <br />The electronic siren speaker shall be located on the front bumper face between the frame rails in <br />the left side inboard position. <br />FRONT BUMPER TOW EYES <br />The bumper shall include two (2) chrome plated tow eyes shall be installed through the front <br />bumper. The eyes shall be fabricated from 0.75 inch thick #1020 ASTM-A36 hot rolled steel. The <br />inside diameter of the eye shall be 2.00 inches and include inside/outside chamfered edges. <br />CAB TILT SYSTEM <br />The entire cab shall be capable of tilting approximately 45-degrees to allow for easy maintenance <br />of the engine and transmission. The cab tilt pump assembly shall be located on the right side of <br />the chassis forward of the front axle behind the officer’s door area. <br />The electric-over-hydraulic lift system shall include an ignition interlock and red cab lock down <br />indicator lamp on the tilt control which shall illuminate when holding the “Down” button to indicate <br />safe road operation. <br />It shall be necessary to activate the master battery switch and set the parking brake in order to tilt <br />the cab.
