REV: 04-29-25 LF <br />•Seat pull-down system S4S - device for air seats locks seat to lowest position, increases <br />survivable space. <br />Inflatable head cushion seat integrated side roll airbag SRA - protects officer’s head/neck and <br />shields officer from dangerous surfaces. <br />SEAT BELT ORIENTATION CREW <br />The crew position seat belts shall follow the standard orientation which extends from the outboard <br />shoulder extending to the inboard hip. <br />SEAT FORWARD FACING CENTER LOCATION <br />The crew area shall include two (2) forward facing center crew seats with both located at the <br />center of the rear wall. <br />SEAT CREW FORWARD FACING CENTER <br />The forward-facing center seat shall be a H.O. Bostrom 500 Series Firefighter model seat. The <br />seat shall feature a tapered and padded seat, and cushion. The seat shall be mounted in a fixed <br />position. <br />The seat shall feature an all belts to seat (ABTS) style of safety restraint. The ABTS feature shall <br />include a three-point shoulder harness with the lap belt and automatic retractor as an integral part <br />of the seat assembly. The buckle portion of the seat belt shall extend from the seat base towards <br />the driver position within easy reach of the occupant. The ABTS feature shall also include the <br />RiteHite™ shoulder adjustment feature to provide enhanced comfort and safety by allowing <br />customized seat belt fit. <br />The minimum vertical dimension from the seat H-point to the ceiling for each belted seating <br />position shall be 35.00 inches. <br />This model of seat shall have successfully completed the static load tests by FMVSS 207/210. <br />This testing shall include a simultaneous forward load of 3000 pounds each on the lap and <br />shoulder belts and twenty (20) times the weight through the center of gravity. This model of seat <br />installed in the cab model, as specified, shall have successfully completed the dynamic sled <br />testing using FMVSS 208 as a guide with the following accommodations. In order to reflect the <br />larger size outfitted firefighters, the test dummy used shall be a 95th percentile hybrid III male <br />weighing 225 pounds rather than the 50th percentile male dummy weighing 165 pounds as <br />referenced in FMVSS 208. The model of seats shall also have successfully completed the <br />flammability of materials used in the occupant compartments of motor vehicles as outlined in <br />FMVSS 302, of which decides the burning rate of materials in the occupant compartments of <br />motor vehicles. <br />SEAT BACK FORWARD FACING CENTER <br />The seat in the forward facing center position shall include a standard seat back. The seat back <br />shall feature an all belts to seat (ABTS) style safety restraint. The ABTS feature shall include a <br />red, three-point shoulder harness with the lap belt and automatic retractor as an integral part of <br />the seat assembly.
