REV: 04-29-25 LF
The receiver shall have a 2.00 inch (50.80 mm) square opening for the attachment of a portable
rescue winch.
A power receptacle shall be installed adjacent to each rescue winch receiver and wired for a
portable electric winch.
A label shall be permanently affixed on or near each winch receiver indicating the maximum
straight line pull rating of the anchor.
REAR CENTER LADDER STORAGE AREA
There shall be a rear center superstructure, located on top of the trailer frame, fabricated from a
combination of mild steel tubing, channel, flat bar and sheet material. The rear structure shall be
fabricated as an integral part of the rear body to reduce deflection and shall provide structural
support for the rear body compartment assemblies. The resulting interior space available between
the apparatus body side compartments shall be utilized as a storage area for ground ladders. The
storage area shall be constructed as large as possible and shall be divided to securely store
ground ladders vertically on beam or horizontally as required.
The ladders shall be stored on independent fiberglass slides to separate the ladders from one
another and to allow removal of any ladder without disturbing the storage of another. The slides
shall be bolted in place for ease of removal.
Ladder stops shall be provided at the front of the ladder slide assemblies to prevent the ladders
from sliding forward.
One (1) 3/16” aluminum, horizontally hinged lift up door with 1/8” DA finish aluminum pan shall be
provided at the rear of the apparatus to assist in keeping dirt from drafting into the rear ground
ladder/storage area and restrict ground ladder movement. The rear ladder door shall be finish
painted to match body color unless Chevron striping is specified to be installed as described
elsewhere within these specifications.
Compartment door latch shall be Eberhard #206 with Hansen stainless steel bent “D” ring outer
latch assembly. The door latch shall be dual catch slam action type. Compartment door hinge
shall be full-length polished stainless steel piano type with 1/4” stainless steel pin. Hinge shall be
bolted to the body and to the door.
Automatic, gas-filled cylinder type, door stay arms shall be provided - two (2) per horizontally
hinged door. The stay arms shall cushion door movement.
A protective sill plate shall be installed at the bottom of the ladder storage compartment door
opening to match those provided on the body compartments.
The exterior side facing vertical surfaces of the ground ladder storage tunnel, fore and aft of the
tiller cab access steps, shall be finished with the same material and painted to match the body
compartmentation.
ATTY/AGR.2025.089/Fire Apparatus Solutions (Purchase of Spartan-LTC 105' TDA) (Page 97 of 150)
