7B <br /> Page 6 <br /> Courthouse Square includes the public restroom faci�ity provided by the City <br /> of Redwood City. <br /> L. "Courthouse Square E�ent Permitr means a written approva� issued pursuant <br /> to this article which aliows the permittee to conduct an event on all or part of <br /> Courthvuse Square, which shail not extend out into Broadway, Middlefield or <br /> Hamilton Streets or the adjacen# sidewalks unless a Street Closure Permit <br /> has been approved by the Police Department. <br /> M. "Days" means calendar days, unless otherwise stated. <br /> N. "Donation" means a gift, grant or contribution to a fund or cause, typically for <br /> charitable reasons. <br /> O. "Event" means an organized outdoor assemblage gathering for a common <br /> purpose under the direction or cantrol of a person on any po�tion of <br /> Courthouse Square as defined above. Exampies of events inciude <br /> exhibitions, concerts, celebrations, fes#ivals, demonstrations, observances, <br /> lectures, and enfertainment. <br /> P. "Expressive activity" means conduct, the principal purpose of which is the <br /> expressian, dissemination or communication by verbal, visua�, �iterary or <br /> auditory means of opinion, views or ideas. Examples of expressi�e activity <br /> include pubfic oratory and the distribution of literatu�e. <br /> Q. "4pen to the Public" means an event open to any member of the public with <br /> or without an admission fee or charge. <br /> R. "Permittee" means any event sponsor{s), promo�er(s}, facility opera#or(s), <br /> facility owner(s} or their respective designee who obtains an approved Event <br /> Permit to conduct the e�ent. <br /> S. "Redwood Ci#y Produced Event" means an event developed and <br /> implemented in its entirety by the City of Redwood City or its Redevelopment <br /> Agency. The City departments andlor its Redevelopment Agency have sole <br /> responsibility for the event from inception to completion, including concept <br /> development, creative direction, funding and fund devefopment, marketing <br /> and media relations, and staffing and support services to directly impiement <br /> the event. <br /> T. "Redwood City Co-Produced Event" means an event that has significant <br /> Redwoad Ci�y and/or Redevelopment Agency staff in�olvement in both #he <br /> planning and the implementation, together with a non-City or non- <br /> Redevelopment Agency entity. To be considered an e�ent co-produced by <br /> the City or its Redevelopment Agency, City/Agency staff must be involved in <br /> aspects of the event, including but not limited to creative direction, funding <br /> and fund de�elopment, marketing and media relations, and staffing and <br /> support services. <br /> ATTYlORDIOR�.325 <br /> 120809 Pcx�e 3 of 13 <br />
