Page 3 of 7 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />Direct On Campus Engagement <br />PACE SEQ Flex Program (Sequoia High School): <br />o 80+ youth engaged in enrichment activities focused on academic support, social- <br />emotional learning, and college/career readiness through multiple sessions. <br />o Outcome: Improved student engagement and goal-setting skills. <br />o Partners: Sequoia High School; Friends For Youth; Redwood City Parks, Recreation, and <br />Community Services <br />Career Exploration Events: <br />o College Career Community Fair: Community wide event, youth explored career pathways <br />and post-secondary options at College Advisory Prep (CAP), Cañada College, and <br />Redwood City community sites (Oct). <br />o Sequoia High School College Career Day: 25 youth participated in college and career <br />workshops and resource sessions (Oct). <br />o Outcome: Increased awareness of college and career opportunities. <br />o Partners: Cañada College, CAP, Redwood City Together. <br />Middle School Engagements: <br />o Kennedy Middle School: 18 youth involved in outreach for summer programming and <br />community-building activities (May). <br />o Hoover Middle School: 35 youth participated in communication and social skills <br />workshops (Apr–May). <br />o Clifford Middle School: 26 youth engaged in field trips and enrichment activities (Apr). <br />o Outcome: Enhanced social-emotional skills, improved peer relationships. <br />o Partners: Redwood City Parks, Recreation, and Community Services. <br />Redwood High School Wellness & Engagement: <br />o 60 youth participated in wellness check-ins, goal setting, and post-graduation planning <br />sessions led by youth leader Evelyn Valencia (Mar–May). <br />o Outcome: Increased student confidence in post-secondary planning and emotional well- <br />being. <br />Field Trips & Cultural Engagement: <br />o 60+ youth participated in culturally enriching field trips, including visits to Downtown <br />Redwood City Art Walk and Mural Tour, San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Oakland <br />Zoo, and Cañada College Cultural Center (Feb, May). <br />o Outcome: Broadened cultural awareness and community connection, Youth deepened <br />cultural pride, engaged in community history, and gained hands-on experience in creative <br />expression. <br />Youth Voice & Leadership Development <br />PACE Advisory Board: <br />o 8 youth leaders participated in leadership training, civic engagement, and policy advocacy <br />workshops (Oct, Feb, Apr, May). <br />o Outcome: Strengthened leadership capacities and civic knowledge. <br />6.I. - Page 3 of 11 <br />342
