<br />NOTIFICATION OF RESIDENTS & BUSINESSES 01 3500-1 <br /> <br />SECTION 01 3500 <br />NOTIFICATION TO RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES <br /> <br />PART 1 - GENERAL <br />1.01 DESCRIPTION <br />Work Includes <br />1. Advance notice door hangers shall be distributed to residents and <br />businesses on all streets where work within this Contract is included. <br />2. "NO PARKING TOW AWAY" signs shall be posted on the street in which <br />the work is to be performed in accordance to the directions in this Section. <br />PART 2 - PRODUCTS <br />2.01 ADVANCE NOTICE DOOR HANGERS <br />Advance notice door hangers will be provided by the City to the Contractor. <br />2.02 NO PARKING SIGNS <br />"NO PARKING TOW AWAY" signs will be provided by the City to the <br />Contractor. <br />PART 3 - EXECUTION <br />3.01 DISTRIBUTION <br />A. Advance notice door hangers will be hand delivered by the Contractor to <br />businesses, residents, or others that will be impacted by the work, 14 days in <br />advance of construction and/or street closure. <br />B. Dated "NO PARKING TOW AWAY" signs shall be posted a minimum of 48- <br />hours in advance of all work which requires that cars not be parked on the <br />street. Date and time of work shall be written on these signs in 2" high letters <br />with a 1/4" felt marker. These signs shall be placed on barricades per these <br />specifications or located near the curb and gutter. All signs must be removed <br />immediately after the specific work has been completed. Any cars which remain <br />parked on the street in violation of the posted "NO PARKING TOW AWAY" sign <br />shall be towed away under the direction of the Redwood City Police Department. <br />C. The Contractor shall call the City of Redwood City Police Department <br />Communications Dispatch Center, prior to the start of work each day, to report <br />all street closures for that day. <br />D. Sign Posting <br />1. No Parking Signs <br />a. All signs indicating a "NO PARKING TOW AWAY" zone shall be <br />posted a minimum of 48-hours in advance. <br />b. Signs shall be properly filled out including dated time of posting, and <br />initialed by the Contractor. <br />c. Signs shall be posted on both sides of the barricade.
