These free outdoor performances will activate the corner of Broadway and
Main Street with music and energy, inviting people of all ages and backgrounds to come together and
celebrate creativity in a welcoming public space. Inside the hotel, the CfC entrance area will host rotating
art exhibitions showcasing the work of local artists. These curated shows will offer accessible, high-
quality cultural experiences for CfC guests, downtown visitors, and residents alike.
Funding Requested: $10,000. The program directly supports Fuse's mission of fostering engagement and
connection with the communities where it works. The core aim is to spark conversations and build new
connections within a welcoming, inclusive environment. By spotlighting stories often left untold and
featuring and amplifying diverse voices, Igniting Community Stories works to strengthen awareness and
expand perspectives for participants and the community at large.
Funding Requested: $2,500. The mission of the Peninsula Symphony is to enrich the lives of people
in our community with inspiring, innovative, high-quality musical presentations at affordable prices, and
to promote music education through engaging programs for children and adults. The Special Bridges to
Music program is for special day classes in Redwood City public elementary schools offering weekly
music and singing lessons ending in live performances. Designed for differently-abled students, it aims
to build self-esteem through music and provides a unique opportunity for these students to perform on
stage.
Funding Requested: $3,000 Funding Recommended: $3,000.
Quinteto Latino. Quinteto Latino is a professional, all-Latino wind ensemble that exclusively performs
works by Latino composers. As the only ensemble of its kind in the U.S., it is dedicated to showcasing
Latino musical heritage through classical music. Quinteto Latino will partner with the North Fair Oaks
Spanish Language Library to attract more Mexican and Central American families by hosting a traditional
posadas celebration during the holiday season. The event will feature a family-friendly performance by
the all-Latino ensemble, a kid-friendly visual arts project by a local artist, a family book giveaway, and
food and beverages.
