4.Monitors complex projects as they proceed through the design and permit process <br />and investigates complaints about planning operations. <br />5.Assists in selecting, training, supervising, and evaluating the work of journey level <br />professional planners and other support personnel. <br />6.Advises planning and planning City officials on issues regarding land use policy, <br />zoning, transportation, and other community issues. <br />7.Makes presentations before the City Council, committees, community groups, <br />boards, and commissions and other governmental bodies as required. <br />8.Keeps Stays informed of current trends in planning, including legislation, court <br />rulings, and new techniques; undertakes studies and prepares reports and <br />recommendations on anticipated needs and programs. <br />8.9. Evaluate the complex and often sensitive and competing aspects of <br />transportation planning decisions. <br />9.10. Meets with project representatives, professionals, citizenscommunity <br />members, and organizations to encourage action or resolve problems related to <br />the division’s activities and projects. <br />10.11. Utilizes and/or directs the use of modern technology and software <br />computers and software programs for various technical projects and studies to <br />streamline and coordinate processes, both internally and with the public. <br />11.12. Responds to inquiries regarding transportation initiatives, zoning and <br />subdivisions; reviews applications for compliance to with ordinances. <br />12.13. Attends and provides can serve as staff liaison staff support for City Council <br />Transportation and Mobility Sub-Committee, Planning Commission meetings, <br />Transportation Advisory Committee, as applicable and as needed; provides staff <br />support; prepares the agenda for these meetings. <br />13.14. Prepares environmental impact reports and a variety of other planning - <br />related reports. <br />15. May be designated as Zoning Administrator or as a Boards, Committees or <br />Commission liaison at the direction of the Assistant Community Development <br />Planning Director Manager or Community Development Director. <br />14.16. May act as Assistant Community Development Director Planning Manager <br />in hin his/hertheir absence, at the direction of the Community Development <br />Director. <br />15.17. Prepares meeting agendas for the Zoning Administrator and, Plan Review <br />Committee, and Subdivision Committee. <br />16.18. Assists withPrepares amendments to the City codes, General Plan and <br />zoning ordinances. <br />17.19.
