REV: 07-16-25 LF <br />•Water demand factors published by peer agencies such as East Bay Municipal <br />Utility District (EBMUD), Soquel Creek Water District (SqCWD), the City of Napa, <br />and the City of Santa Monica; <br />•Water demand factors used in recent Water Supply Assessments (WSAs) and <br />environmental documents prepared by the City and neighboring Bay Area cities; <br />•Literature of best practices related to land-use-based water demand estimation. <br />Water Use Evaluation <br />As part of this subtask, Consultant will evaluate water use for existing land uses within <br />the City to compare with the water demand factors included in Attachment Q and other <br />available information. Consultant will work with the City to collect account-level Advance <br />Metering Infrastructure (AMI) data in one-hour intervals and land use information such as <br />account type, classification, and NAICS or SIC codes, if available. Consultant will also <br />collect parcel characteristics, such as the number of dwellings, rooms, or square footage <br />of buildings. <br />City Review and Discussion <br />Based on the data compiled and analyzed, recommendations will be developed for <br />updated water use factors. A meeting will be held with City staff to review the draft table <br />of water use factors and associated recommendations. <br />Prepare Technical Memorandum <br />Based on the City’s input, Consultant will summarize findings, data sources, and <br />recommendations in a brief technical memorandum (TM). The TM will include the updated <br />table of water use factors and a description of the methodology used for developing each <br />factor. <br />Task 6 Deliverables: <br />•Draft tabular summary of water demand factors and property/use types in PDF, <br />excel, or Word format. <br />•Meeting with City staff to discuss findings and recommendations <br />•Technical memorandum: Evaluation of the Attachment Q Water Demand <br />Projection Worksheet <br />•In regard to the documents that the City receives from Consultant: the final copies <br />shall be in PDF format, and the editable copies shall be in native file format (i.e. <br />Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). <br />For Task 6 overall, <br />•Meeting to discuss draft findings will not exceed one (1) hour in duration and will <br />be held virtually upon a mutually agreed upon schedule. <br />•City staff comments on the TM will be consolidated into a single set of comments. <br />•Parcel characteristics information will be available from the San Mateo County <br />Assessor’s Office at a cost of approximately $700. <br />ATTY/AGR.2025.176/EKI Environment & Water, Inc.
