The congregate <br />nutrition program developed a meal pick-up <br />option, a pen pal program was started to reduce <br />isolation, and volunteers put together and <br />distributed care packages. City staff and <br />volunteers played a key role in ensuring the needs <br />of older adults were recognized and prioritized. <br />AGE-FRIENDLY REDWOOD CITY PAGE 10 <br />The VMSC is a hub for projects promoting the <br />wellbeing of older adults, including the Age- <br />Friendly initiative. <br />The Senior Affairs Commission will meet with <br />the Youth and Teen Advisory Boards to listen, <br />share ideas, and provide mentorship. <br />New programs offered on Zoom in Mandarin <br />and Spanish. <br />8.B. - Page 32 of 48 <br />89
