REV: 09-03-25 LF
Loading and groundwater design criteria for the design of the
replacement channel improvements.
Seismic accelerations for design based on USGS data and Caltrans
methods in lieu of site-specific soil acceleration analysis.
Evaluation of seismic-related hazards and recommended mitigation
methods.
Analysis of geotechnical-related channel design and construction.
Findings and geotechnical recommendations for the design and
construction of the planned repair.
Preparation of a final geotechnical memorandum within one week of
receiving any comments from the consultant and the City.
Exclusions from the scope of services:
Assessment of oil or hazardous materials at the site, the
presence of mold or other biological pollutants at the site, the
characterization of excavated soil or ground water generated
as a result of the planned construction activity for the purpose
of assessing possible requirements for management of
contaminated media, or assessment of the impact that
contamination or pollutants could have on the proposed
construction, or the development of criteria or procedures to
minimize the growth of mold or other biological pollutants in or
near any structure. Consultant can provide these services
under a different agreement if requested by the City and
acceptable for both parties.
Deliverables: Survey – digital copies of utility research and field data notes (PDF), and
copies of the topographic base map to be used in the set of plans (AutoCAD and PDF).
Geotechnical – existing data memorandum summary documents, library including all
reviewed documents (PDF) and provide a file sharing location for the City’s access, and
geotechnical memorandum with recommendations (PDF).
Task 4. 60% Design Submittal: Plans, Specifications and Estimates (PS&E) for up
to $49,250 Time and Materials (T&M)
The consultant will develop a 60% Design Submittal.
The consultant in coordination with the City will decide to use existing stationing
based on record drawings or to establish a new project stationing.
The 60% design will comply with permitting agencies requirements such as
Department of Fish and Wildlife, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Water Boards.
The consultant will prepare an engineer’s estimate of anticipated construction
costs for the project. Unit prices will be developed based upon recent bid
summaries for applicable improvement projects in California for which the Wood
Rodgers Team was the Engineer of Record (thus assuring that the baseline
understanding of the bids received are applicable for the project). Where similar
bid tabulations are not available, industry cost estimating guides, such as Means
ATTY/AGR.2025.173/Wood Rodgers, Inc. (Agreement for Design Services) (Page 13 of 21)
