Appropriate adjustments for the bid date and location of the work will be applied to the estimates. Specifications will be provided by the consultant in accordance with the City of Redwood City standard template with the technical specifications format as approved. It is anticipated that the City of Redwood City General Specifications will be used on the project and updated to contain the project requirements. The consultant will provide a summary basis of Design memorandum to document design criteria and decisions. The following are excluded from the consultant’s scope of design and will only be performed with an approved task authorization from the City in writing: o Staging Plan o Access Plan o Dewatering Plan o Disposal Plan o Utility relocations plan for sewer, and storm drain laterals (small pipes), electrical, telephone, gas, fiber optic, and other dry utilities, impacted by the channel improvement for the Project. The 60% Design submittal will include progress design drawings consisting of the following: o Title sheet with sheet index o Standard notes, construction notes, and details o Best Management Practices (BMPs) from the San Mateo County o Existing conditions and demolition plan o Civil plan and profile drawings o Structural sections and details of hydraulic concrete channel that match the existing in-situ dimensions o Landscape plan Assumptions: the design can be developed without reducing the cross-sectional area of the channel, thus not requiring hydraulic analyses. If constraints require a design that does reduce the area, then hydraulic analyses will need to be conducted (not included in the scope of services of this agreement). The consultant will prepare the 60% Design Submittal documents and will present one digital set of the design drawings, technical specifications, draft supporting structural calculation, draft bid tabulation, and Engineer’s opinion of probable construction cost to the City for review. Deliverables: one electronic copy (PDF) of full-size plans including structural specifications and notes on drawings, one electronic copy of technical and general specifications (PDF), one electronic copy of structural parameters and progress calculations (PDF), and one electronic copy of engineer’s estimate of anticipated construction costs (PDF and Excel). Task 5. 90% Design Submittal for up to $21,045 Time and Materials (T&M) The 90% design will address City comments on the 60% Submittal and prepare the construction documents for the 90% submittal.
