Veterans Memorial Senior Center/YMCA Project 9 Addendum #2
City of Redwood City November 2025
cultural resource training for construction crews, monitoring of ground-disturbing activities,
work stoppage if resources are uncovered, and the preparation of a data recovery plan if
resources are discovered to reduce the risk of potential impacts to any unknown cultural
resources to a less than significant level. As such, the modified project would not result in
any new significant impacts or more severe significant impacts than disclosed in the 2019
EIR or 2022 Addendum.
Hazards and Hazardous Materials. The project site does not have any known
contamination, and the modified project would not result in the new use or storage of any
hazardous materials on-site. The modified project would implement the same measures
identified in the 2019 EIR and 2022 Addendum to avoid exposing surrounding receptors to
hazardous materials and, therefore, would not result in any new significant impacts or more
severe significant impacts than disclosed in the 2019 EIR or 2022 Addendum.
Land Use and Planning. The modified project proposes the same recreation use as the
original project, is consistent with existing uses in Red Morton Park, and is consistent with
the General Plan land use designation for the site. Like the original project, the modified
project would not result in the division of an established community. Therefore, the
modified project would not result in any new significant impacts or more severe significant
impacts than disclosed in the 2019 EIR or 2022 Addendum.
Mineral Resources. The project site and surrounding area do not contain any mineral
resources or include any delineated mineral resource recovery sites. The modified project
does not affect these existing conditions and, therefore, would not result in any new
significant impacts or more severe significant impacts than disclosed in the 2019 EIR or 2022
Addendum.
Population and Housing/Public Services/Recreation. The project modifications would not
result in any increases in population or any corresponding increases in demand for housing,
public services, or recreation facilities and, therefore, would not result in any new significant
impacts or more severe significant impacts than disclosed in the 2019 EIR or 2022
Addendum.
Tribal Cultural Resources. There are no known tribal cultural resources on-site. The
modified project does not affect this existing condition and, therefore, would not result in
any new significant impacts or more severe significant impacts than disclosed in the 2019
EIR or 2022 Addendum.
Wildfire. The project site and surrounding area are not located in or near state
responsibility areas or lands classified as very high fire hazard severity zones. The modified
project does not affect these existing conditions and, therefore, would not result in any new
significant impacts or more severe significant impacts than disclosed in the 2019 EIR or 2022
Addendum.

ATTY/RESO.0111/CC RESO CONSIDERING AND APPROVING AN ADDENDUM TO THE FINAL EIR (YMCA PROJECT CEQA) - EXHIBIT A
REV: 11-06-25 VR
