Seaport Centre Levee System Operation and Maintenance Manual <br />December 2022 <br />• Coordinate removal of unauthorized encroachments or utility encroachments with owners <br />2.5,3 Maintenance of authorized encroachments in levee easement <br />Encroachment owner identifies needed repairs or modifications <br />• Repairs are identified and project is defined <br />• Owner applies for a permit from the appropriate governing entity to perform work <br />• Coordinate with local jurisdictions (city, parks, or private party) <br />• Owner sends neighborhood notices to the surrounding property owners/community <br />• Complete repairs <br />• Monitor for performance <br />2.6 Storm Water Pump Stations <br />There is one municipal storm water pump station located within Seaport Centre and two private <br />smaller pump stations located at the end of the peninsula that serves only the Seaport Plaza area. The <br />municipal pump station is operated by the City and shall be inspected and maintained regularly by the <br />City. The two private pump stations are operated by the property owners and shall be inspected and <br />maintained regularly by the owner. Please refer to their procedures as needed. <br />3 INSPECTION AND REPORTS <br />3.9 Introduction <br />This section details the inspection required for proper care and efficient operation of the various flood <br />protection elements. Flood protection elements must be adequately maintained if they are to function <br />as intended. The City is responsible for preserving maintenance and inspection records. Inspections will <br />be performed in consultation with City. The inspection requirements included herein apply to all items <br />constructed by and necessary for the operation of the levee system. <br />3.2 Inspection and Reporting Frequency <br />Inspections shall be performed according to the type of flood control element and informally during <br />operations. At a minimum, a thorough inspection and evaluation shall be performed every 5 years for all <br />elements of the flood control system and dOCUmented in a conditions report with information to inform <br />the following 5 -year maintenance budget. <br />In addition to the 5 -year inspection and reporting cycle, the following events require immediate <br />inspection. <br />• Immediately following a major flood <br />2025.276 - SEAPORT PURCHASE AGREEMENTFF <br />REV: 10-15-25 VR P�9� 6 of 7 BKF ENGINFERS <br />
