CITY OF REDWOOD CITY <br />CRIME ANALYST (Continued) <br />2 <br />4.Utilize geographic information systems (GIS) and other analytical tools to <br />visualize and interpret spatial data related to criminal activity. <br />5.Provide analytical support for investigations and tactical operations in <br />collaboration with law enforcement personnel. <br />6.Maintain and update crime analysis databases and dashboards, ensuring data <br />integrity and accuracy. <br />7.Respond to requests for information and analysis from internal and external <br />stakeholders, including other law enforcement agencies and the public. <br />8.Stay informed about emerging trends, tools and best practices in crime analysis <br />and law enforcement. <br />9.Perform related duties as assigned. <br />MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS <br />Knowledge of: <br />Principles and practices of crime analysis, including statistical methods and <br />analytical techniques. <br />Law enforcement operations, procedures, and terminology. <br />Geographic information systems (GIS), crime mapping tools and software, and <br />spatial analysis techniques. <br />Data management and database systems relevant to crime analysis. <br />Applicable laws, regulations, and standards related to criminal justice and data <br />privacy. <br />Sources of criminal justice data, including national and state crime databases <br />such as Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR), National Incident-Based Reporting <br />System (NIBRS), CalGang, and California Law Enforcement <br />Telecommunications System (CLETS). <br />Ability to: <br />Collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets related to criminal activity to <br />identify crime trends and patterns. <br />Communicate findings effectively through written reports, visualizations, and oral <br />presentations. <br />ATTY/RESO.0125/CC RESO AMENDING CLASSIFICATION AND WAGE AND SALARY PLAN (CRIME ANALYST) - EXHIBIT A <br />REV: 12-05-25 MI
