This proposed Municipal Code update also creates a resource <br />of regulations for community members who do not have access or are not aware of safe riding practices. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no direct fiscal impact on updating Chapter 8. The collected penalties will be partially deposited <br />into Police Services funds. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW <br />The implementation of this Ordinance is not a project under Section 15061(b)(3) because there is no <br />possibility that regulations related to micromobility operation and safety requirements will have a <br />significant effect on the environment. This Ordinance is also categorically exempt from the requirements <br />of CEQA under Section 15301(c), Class 1, Existing Facilities because it consists of negligible or no expansion <br />of the operation, repair, maintenance, permitting, or minor alteration of existing public streets, sidewalks, <br />and similar facilities. <br />PUBLIC NOTICE <br />9.A. - Page 3 of 10 <br />778
