REV: 11-14-25 LR
5. As-Builts: The Consultant shall prepare and submit “As-Built” drawings reflecting
all changes and field modifications made during construction. As-Built drawings
shall accurately depict the final constructed conditions. The Consultant shall revise
the as-built drawings as necessary to address comments or corrections provided
by the City and/or contractor until final acceptance by the City.
Deliverables:
Digital copies of clarification responses and additional design support in native
format (PDF, Word)
One (1) digital PDF and one (1) native format copy of as-built record drawings
Digital copies of final specifications, cost estimate and plans in native format
(Word, Excel, and AutoCAD)
TASK 9 – POTHOLING (OPTIONAL)
As directed by the City, the Consultant and Subcontractor shall perform up to 20 potholes
along the project alignment. The Consultant and Subcontractor shall obtain a City
encroachment permit and conform to all requirements, including but not limited to the
certificate of insurance, traffic control plan, and bonds. Potholing shall conform to the
utility trench detail UT-1 of the City Standards and requires permanent restoration.
Deliverables:
One (1) digital (i.e. AutoCAD, PDF, WORD, etc.) copy of potholing report
TASK 10 – GEOTECHNICAL FIELD INVESTIGATION (OPTIONAL)
As directed by the City, the Consultant and Subcontractor shall perform a geotechnical
field investigation to evaluate the subsurface conditions and develop recommendations
for the anticipated trenchless installation beneath the Caltrain tracks at Beech Street. The
Consultant and Subcontractor shall drill two (2) test borings to depths of 20 to 25 feet
below existing grade near the approximate locations of the proposed jacking and
receiving pits along Beech Street. The Consultant shall perform laboratory testing for the
sample test borings to determine moisture content, dry density, and plasticity. The
Consultant shall provide the City a draft report following the completion of the field work.
The final geotechnical investigation scope will be finalized during design and will not be
executed without City Engineer or their designee’s approval in writing.
Deliverables:
One (1) digital (i.e. PDF, WORD, etc.) copy of laboratory test results, draft
geotechnical field investigation report and final geotechnical investigation report
TASK 11 – HYDRAULIC MODELING (OPTIONAL)
As directed by the City, the Consultant shall perform hydraulic modeling to confirm any
deviations in proposed pipe diameter from the diameters stated above. The City shall
provide the Consultant with a digital copy of the existing sewer model and any information
required to run the model based on anticipated sanitary sewer demands. Any
recommendations or results generated by hydraulic modeling would be summarized in
the Basis of Design (BOD) Report.
ATTY/AGR.2025.306/BKF Engineers (Agreement for Service with BKF Engineers) (Page 18 of 19)
