Mark fire apparatus access roads with permanent NO PARKING-FIRE LANE signs and/or painted curbs <br />in accordance with state and local standards. Submit plans to the Fire Marshal’s Office for review and approval. [CFC <br />503.3] [SDR] <br />Prior to Certificate of <br />Occupancy <br />F21 Generator – Standby and Emergency Power – Equipment Room. An emergency generator is required to be installed <br />inside the building for the standby or emergency power systems. The generator must be located in a separate room <br />enclosed with two-hour fire barriers as identified in the plans. [CBC §403.4.8.1] <br />Prior to Building <br />Permit Issuance <br />F22 Electric Vehicle Charging Station(s) (Sheets AP2.11 and AP 2.12). Where the equipment is listed for charging electric <br />vehicles that require ventilation for indoor charging and is marked in accordance with NFPA 70-§625.15(C), <br />mechanical ventilation, such as a fan, shall be provided. The ventilation shall include both supply and exhaust <br />equipment and shall be permanently installed and located to intake from, and vent directly to, the outdoors. Positive- <br />pressure ventilation systems shall be permitted only in vehicle charging buildings or areas that have been specifically <br />designed and approved for that application. Mechanical ventilation requirements shall be determined by one of the <br />methods specified in NFPA 70-625.52(B)(1) through (B)(4). The supply circuit to the mechanical ventilation equipment <br />shall be electrically interlocked with the equipment and shall remain energized during the entire electric vehicle <br />charging cycle. [CFC and NFPA 70, National Electrical Code (2017 Edition) 70-§625.40, §625.48 and §625.52] <br />Prior to Building <br />Permit Issuance <br />F24 Fire Resistive Construction Inventory. Maintain an inventory of all required fire resistance rated and smoke barrier <br />construction, and repair records when damaged, altered breached or penetrated. [CFC §701.2 and §701.6][SDR] <br />Ongoing Record <br />Keeping <br />F25 Fire Resistive Construction Maintenance. The fire resistance rating of structural members, exterior walls, fire walls, <br />fire barriers, fire partitions, horizontal assemblies and shaft enclosures, and the smoke resistance of smoke barriers <br />and partitions, shall be maintained and repaired to equivalent fire or smoke resistance when damaged during <br />demolition or alteration. Annual visual inspection and repair records shall be maintained. Annual inspections shall <br />use the Compliance Engine software or successor software specified by the Fire Marshal. [CFC §701.2 and <br />§701.6][SDR] <br />Annual Inspection <br /> <br />F26 Hazardous Materials. Ensure that a master building wide Hazardous Materials Inventory Statement (HMIS) and a <br />tenant HMIS are kept on file with the building management for the lifetime of the use. The building management <br />shall manage all tenant HMIS documents against the Master HMIS such that the total quantity of hazardous materials <br />shall not exceed the Maximum Area Quantities (MAQ’s) as defined by the HMIS and CFC Chapter 50. Where hazardous <br />materials are to be used or stored, increase fire sprinkler design density to 0.4gpm/sq ft/3,000 square feet. [CFC <br />5001.5.1][SDR] <br />Ongoing
