REV: 12-11-25 LR all services to the satisfaction of the City Engineer or designee. Construction Inspector shall coordinate all necessary materials testing with contractor Construction Inspector shall communicate frequently with the Project Engineer and/or the Project Manager regarding needs for inspection services and Hoover Park Renovation Project’s activities Deliverables: Construction inspector shall, daily, write construction inspection reports documenting the weather and any unusual circumstances, describing the type of work performed, locations of work, inspection results, number of employees and types of equipment present, and other information as directed by the City Engineer or designee, such reports being either in software (PDF, Microsoft Word Doc or other) or on paper as needed. Paper reports will be uploaded in software (CommDev or other) by City staff. The report shall be accompanied by photos documenting work performed. Task 2 – Special Inspections (As needed) As needed special inspections and material testing services, as determined by the City Engineer or designee, including but not limited to: o Review concrete mix designs for compliance with the project documents. o Testing concrete through compressive strength tests, ASTM C39/C39M. o Testing concrete through slump tests, ASTM C143/C143M. o Inspecting the sub-base, formwork, and reinforcement before placement of concrete. o Observing concrete placement, including measuring slump, temperature, and batch times. o Inspection during the installation of post-installed anchors, anchor bolts and anchor rods. o Load testing including pull and torque testing of post installed anchors, anchor bolts and anchor rods. o Welding procedure and welder’s qualification review prior to performing welding in the shop. o Material identification, mill certificate verification and structural steel welding inspection in the shop for structural steel. o Structural steel welding inspection in the field. o Non shrink grout placement inspection sampling and testing. o Compression testing of non-shrink grout in the laboratory. o Document test data and observations through daily and end-of-job summary reports. Testing reports shall be submitted to the City on a daily basis.
