City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org
Mobility & Connectivity – A highly connected mobility network that is safe and efficient for all modes—
both motorized and non-motorized—is critical for the social and economic health of Redwood City.
Building on the City’s existing mobility vision in the RWCMoves and RWC Walk Bike Thrive plans, the
Mobility Framework envisions a transportation network that improves access to, from, and within
Downtown and to its local- and regionally-serving amenities.
Figure 5 – GDAP Vision Framework: Mobility & Connectivity
As shown on Figure 5, key features of the Framework include:
A re-examination of the design of major corridors to create complete streets that safely serve
multiple transportation modes, connect neighborhoods, improve access for vulnerable
communities, and provide climate resilience benefits.
In support of Downtown businesses, creation of a Pedestrian Priority Zone where pedestrian
access and safety is elevated in the design of streets and public spaces.
Continued expansion of a low-stress bike network.
Transit efficiently integrated into Downtown and the future Caltrain Station.
12.A. - Page 8 of 69
227
