During design, it may be determined that certain
properties may be impacted by the project and will require additional surveys and mapping,
including the use of title reports at later phases of the project.
The topographic survey subconsultant field crews shall search and tie existing property
monuments such as monument wells, iron pipes, spikes, pins and other record boundary
markers. The topographic survey subconsultant shall resolve right-of-way from record
information and field surveys and provide an AutoCAD based right-of-way base drawing. Title
reports may not be expected to be provided or used at this stage. All found monuments shall be
mapped into the right-of-way base drawing as a means for monument preservation activities
during the construction phase.
City or County may have some existing topographic data between 5th Avenue and 9th Avenue.
Consultant shall work with the City Engineer or their designee to integrate that data or provide
new mapping as feasible.
Deliverables will include:
Topographic Survey (PDF and CAD)
Aerial Imagery
Right-of-Way and Boundary Information
Task 2.4 – Geotechnical Services
Geotechnical services are included for Pavement part of the project. These locations will be determined based on Conceptual Design.
At these locations, pavement cores from the HMA (Hot Mix Asphalt) portion shall be collected
and the thickness of the base materials shall be measured. The subconsultant field engineer shall
obtain bulk samples from the subgrade up to about 5 feet deep for material classification, index
testing, and R-value tests. The detailed scope is summarized below:
-Data Review: The geotechnical subconsultant shall review the published geologic maps,
available as-built boring data, and other Agency records if any, in the project vicinity.
-Permits and Utility Clearances: The geotechnical subconsultant shall apply for encroachment
permit from the City and County if applicable.
