REV: 12-03-25 LR <br />-Consultant shall prepare a comments response matrix to the City Engineer’s or their <br />designee’s consolidated comments on the 35% plans and shall provide this document as <br />a backup with the 65% Design PS&E. City Engineer or their designee comments that lead <br />to significant redesign and additional hours allocated to this task shall be coordinated and <br />agreed upon between City Staff and the Consultant. <br />-Roadway improvement plans shall show vertical design and detailing necessary to review <br />proposed elevations and grades as well as the relationship to existing grades, elevations, <br />and conflicts. Drainage and utility plans shall show relevant information as it pertains to <br />existing and proposed utility infrastructure and storm drain infrastructure. The drainage <br />improvements will be conveyed on these sheets and the drainage detail sheets. <br />Significant alternations to the existing drainage pattern is not anticipated. Storm drain <br />profiles for storm drain infrastructure along the corridor are not included in this scope. <br />Stormwater treatment, Project SWPPP and signal design are not included in the scope of <br />work. If in future, during the design phase there is a need to include these elements in <br />the scope, it will be handled as contract amendment within the 10% contract contingency <br />(which City Manager can approve). <br />-The front-end of the specifications (boilerplate) will be prepared by the City staff. City <br />staff will provide an editable version of a technical specification template or sample <br />document from another recent, similar project. <br />-City staff will prepare the front-end boilerplate specification, including incorporating <br />project specific information (project name, notice to contractors, estimate, etc.). <br />-Consultant shall prepare the technical specifications using Caltrans special provisions and <br />the City-provided technical specifications templates. <br />-The specifications shall incorporate permit requirements, including any required NEPA <br />mitigation measures. <br />-Changes shall be tracked in the specifications up until the 100% PS&E, a clean version shall <br />be provided. <br />-Final technical specifications shall be provided to the City staff, who will merge them, <br />along with the City-prepared front-end boilerplate, into the overall final project <br />specifications. <br />-The engineer’s opinion of probable construction costs shall be created based on the 35%, <br />65%, 95%, 100% and Final plans.
