multimodal mobility, parking management, pavement management, transportation <br />demand management, traffic calming and traffic safety. <br />Develops and implements transportation and traffic management plans, programs, and <br />projects that enhance mobility, safety, and sustainability in alignment with City goals and <br />regulatory requirements. <br />Participates in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and <br />priorities for the division; recommends service and staffing levels; develops and <br />administers policies and procedures. <br />Develops and manages the division budget, forecasts revenues and expenditures, and <br />ensures resources are allocated effectively; develops and helps implement plan for <br />funding long-term transportation needs. <br />Plans for, applies for, advocates, and monitors grants. <br />Oversees preparation of traffic studies, data analysis, and engineering reports to support <br />policy decisions and transportation planning. <br />Directs and manages staff engaged in reviewing development applications, traffic impact <br />analyses, and engineering plans to ensure consistency with City standards and <br />regulations. <br />Manages implementation of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), traffic signal <br />coordination, and related technologies to improve mobility and safety. <br />Develops and oversees transportation demand management, pavement management, <br />and parking management programs. <br />Directs the implementation of all plans, projects and programs which provide for the safe, <br />orderly, effective and efficient movement of motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists and goods. <br />Oversees public outreach and community engagement efforts related to traffic operations <br />and transportation planning. <br />Coordinates assigned activities with other City departments and divisions, agencies, <br />community groups, and the public. <br />Represents the department and City in meetings with the community and governmental <br />agencies regarding transportation improvements; represents the City on regional <br />transportation boards, committees, and task forces. <br />Evaluates and initiates action on traffic suggestions and complaints. <br />Selects, directs, trains, motivates, and evaluates assigned personnel; provides coaching <br />and development opportunities, recommends and implements disciplinary procedures as <br />necessary. <br />ATTY/RESO.0008/CC RESO AMENDING CLASSIFICATION AND WAGE AND SALARY PLAN (SEIU, RCMEA, RCPOA, RCPSA) - EXHIBIT A-B <br />REV: 03-03-26 MI Page 6 of 54
