Prepares staff reports, presentations, and recommendations for the City Council, boards, <br />commissions, and other stakeholders; serves as a principal staff advisor and consultant <br />on traffic, transportation, parking-related matters, and alternate methods of transportation, <br />and prepares appropriate staff reports for the Director and/or the City Manager. <br />Attends evening meetings for City Council, boards and commissions, and other City <br />events, as required. <br />Stays abreast of trends, innovations, regulations, and emerging technologies in traffic <br />engineering, mobility management, and transportation planning. <br />Performs other duties as assigned. <br />QUALIFICATIONS <br />Knowledge of: <br />Principles and practices of traffic engineering, transportation planning, and mobility <br />management. <br />Federal, State, and local regulations governing traffic operations and <br />transportation programs. <br />Administrative principles and practices include goal setting, program development, <br />implementation, and evaluation. <br />Principles and practices of public agency budget development, contract <br />administration, and financial management. <br />Techniques for employee supervision, work planning, performance evaluation, and <br />training. <br />Public engagement and communication methods related to transportation and <br />mobility initiatives. <br />Recent developments and emerging technologies in traffic operations and <br />transportation planning. <br />Ability to: <br />Recommend and implement division goals, objectives, and practices for effective <br />service delivery. <br />Manage and monitor complex transportation projects on time and within budget. <br />Interpret, apply, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and <br />procedures. <br />ATTY/RESO.0008/CC RESO AMENDING CLASSIFICATION AND WAGE AND SALARY PLAN (SEIU, RCMEA, RCPOA, RCPSA) - EXHIBIT A-B <br />REV: 03-03-26 MI Page 7 of 54
