REV: 03-02-26 VR
2) Provide construction documents electronically in PDF format to the Engineering &
Transportation Department and the repair contractors to use during the bidding
process.
3) Conduct one on-site pre-bid meeting and site walk for the bidding repair
contractors, to answer questions and review the limitations and extent of work
required by the repair documents.
4) Answer technical questions during the bidding process and issue addendum if
needed.
5) Assist in the evaluation of bids and negotiations with repair contractors bidding on
the repair work and make a recommendation for awarding the contract.
Phase 3 – Construction Phase Services
1) Conduct one (1) pre-construction meeting at the construction site to review the
general scope of work, working environments, schedules, and quality control of the
repair work to be performed.
2) Review one round of shop drawings and material submittals to be received from
the repair contractor as required by Consultant Construction Documents.
3) Perform site visits, up to three (3) total site visits, including requirements for
periodic (not continuous) special inspections, and review repairs for general
conformance with the design intent of the specifications and drawings. The site
visits for garage repairs exclude any additional observation services for the
elevators.
4) Provide field reports summarizing each site visit(s) conducted.
B.2 Project Schedule (Garage Repair)
Phase 1 (Construction Documents) is expected to be completed within eight (8) to ten
(10) weeks following written authorization to proceed. The schedule for Phase 2 (Bidding
Services) will depend on the City’s procurement timeline and policies, with a tentatively
anticipated timeline of four (4) to five (5) weeks following Phase 1. The schedule for Phase
3 (Construction Phase Services) will depend on when the City chooses to enter into an
agreement with a selected repair contractor, and the repair contractor’s schedule for
completing the repair work.
ATTY/AGR.2026.052/Walker Consultants (Garage Repair Engineering Services) (Page 17 of 18)
