Page 1 of 4 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />DATE: April 13, 2026 <br />SUBJECT <br />Property purchase related to the State Route 84 (Woodside Road) / U.S. 101 Interchange Reimagined <br />Project at 295 Seaport Boulevard using grant funds <br />SUMMARY <br />The State Route 84 (Woodside Road) / U.S. 101 Interchange Reimagined Project (“Project”) requires <br />acquisition of certain lands from a number of properties. Out of a total of 20 properties, staff have <br />executed four purchase agreements. The current agreement for 295 Seaport Boulevard will be the fifth <br />property acquisition completed. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Adopt a resolution approving the Property Purchase Agreement between the City of Redwood City, as <br />Buyer, and Cargill Point LLC, as Seller, for the purchase of a fee parcel identified as a portion of Assessor's <br />Parcel Number 054-310-160 (295 Seaport Blvd), in the amount of $3,900. <br />STRATEGIC PLAN GUIDING PRINCIPLE <br />Transportation <br />BACKGROUND <br />As detailed at the December 16, 2024, City Council Study Session, the Project is a collaborative effort <br />involving multiple agencies to fully reconstruct the interchange area. The goals are to enhance traffic <br />safety, reduce congestion and pollution, and provide safer bicycle and pedestrian facilities. <br />7.B. - Page 1 of 48 <br />12
