PUBLIC WORKS TEMPLATE FOR INFORMAL BIDDING ($100K) 12-04-25 <br />REV: 12-15-25 MI <br />B. Vinyl Fabric: Panels at Community Room shall have manufacturer's standard Type-I vinyl fabric <br />finish. Material shall be mildew-resistant, washable and comply with CFFA-W-101-B for Type <br />indicated; Class A; weight not less than 18 oz. per lineal yard. Color and pattern shall be selected <br />from operable wall manufacturer's standard offering. <br />C. P-lam wainscot from bottom of panels to 35” above finish floor on all panels both sides. <br /> <br />2.5 SUSPENSION SYSTEM <br />A. Suspension Tracks: Steel or aluminum as noted below with adjustable steel hanger rods for <br />overhead support, designed for type of operation, size and weight of operable panel partitions as <br />indicated. Size track to support partition operation and storage without damage to suspension <br />system, operable panel partitions, or adjacent construction. Limit track deflection to no more than <br />0.10 inch between bracket supports. Provide a continuous system of track sections and <br />accessories to accommodate configuration and layout indicated for partition operation and <br />storage. <br />1. Operable walls at Community Room shall utilize AEC #1 extruded aluminum track <br />a. Track soffit trim shall be integral to track. <br />b. Track brackets shall interlock with top flange of track and attach to structure with <br />pairs of 1/2-inch diameter steel threaded rod. Track joints to be aligned by <br />concealed, steel dowels. <br />c. Track shall have minimum 6 inch-to-the-fourth moment of inertia. <br />d. Trolleys shall have 4 steel wheels, 1 5/16-inch tread diameter, with ball bearing <br />and thrust type roller bearings, shielded and prelubricated. Individual trolley <br />capacity shall be 800 pounds. <br />e. Pendant bolt to be 3/4-inch diameter and attach to panel through a steel plate <br />mounted internally with panel frame. <br />f. Track at walls configured as individual panel operation shall utilize 12-inch radius <br />turns. Trolleys shall be pre-programmed to select the appropriate stack track. <br />Changes in direction of panel travel shall be by means of remotely controlled <br />track switches. <br />g. Floor track at floor supported operable wall/s shall be manufacturer's standard <br />recessed stainless steel track or zinc plated solid steel bar as determined by <br />manufacturer. Guide pins mounted in panel sill shall be spring-loaded. Bottom <br />roller shall be two-wheeled assembly. <br />B. Track Finish: <br />1. Track soffit trim at Community Room shall have clear satin anodized finish. <br />C. Proof Load Testing: <br />1. Community Room- Submit test report from nationally recognized independent laboratory <br />showing that assembly of track/trolley/bracket/hanger rod sustains a load of 6,000 <br />pounds at mid-point of 36-inch simple span without damage. Load applied to trolley via <br />pendant bolt. <br /> <br />2.6. ELECTRIC OPERATORS <br />A. This project has electrically operated wall/s at - Community Room. <br />B. General: Provide factory assembled-electric operation system of size and capacity recommended <br />and provided by operable panel partition manufacturer for partition specified; with electric motor <br />and factory-prewired motor operator, speed reducer, chain drive, magnetic brake, remote control <br />stations, control devices and accessories required for proper operation. Coordinate operator and <br />control wiring requirements with the building electrical system. <br />C. Comply with NFPA 70. <br />D. Control Equipment: Complying with NEMA ICS 1, NEMA ICS 2, and NEMA ICS 6. <br />E. Electric Panel: Any electrical panel associated with the operable wall and furnished by wall <br />supplier shall have a UL 508A listing mark appear inside of the panel. Panel shall have been <br />fabricated by a UL listed 508A panel manufacturer. <br />F. Electric Motors: High-starting-torque, reversible, continuous-duty, Class A insulated, electric <br />motors, with NEMA MG 1, with thermal-overload protection, sized to start and operate size and <br />weight of operable partition without exceeding nameplate ratings or considering service factor.
