REV: 04-02-26 VR
A. Survey subconsultant, Kier+Wright, will perform topographic survey and terrestrial
scan to confirm current conditions and support final design.
B. Schaaf and Wheeler and Kier+Wright will review and investigate relevant
entitlements and easements that may affect the design and construction access.
C. They will also request, research, and review available survey and utility information
from the City and relevant utility owners.
D. Schaaf and Wheeler and team will request utility maps from utility providers within
the project limits, and the approximate location of the utilities will be shown on the
plans.
E. Geotechnical engineering subconsultant, Cornerstone Earth Group, Inc., will
evaluate existing geotechnical information, including prior reports, and consider
feasible construction methods to identify the appropriate geotechnical investigation
for the project. Cornerstone will prepare a geotechnical design memorandum
summarizing the evaluation of existing information and recommending any
additional subsurface exploration needed. If additional exploration is
recommended, Cornerstone will coordinate required clearances and permits,
perform field exploration and laboratory testing as appropriate (for example,
moisture-density, gradation, strength, corrosion, and plasticity testing), perform
engineering analyses (including seismic and liquefaction considerations), and
prepare a draft and final geotechnical memorandum incorporating City and design
team (Schaaf and Wheeler plus sub-consultants) comments.
F. Schaaf and Wheeler does not anticipate that additional utility investigations and
potholing will be needed during design, but these services can be added for an
additional fee if deemed necessary during design and per a written approval by the
City.
Deliverables: digital copies of utility research, geotechnical design memorandum, and
topographic base map.
Task 4. 60% Design Submittal (Plans, Specifications, and Cost Estimates), up to
$55,858 Time and Materials (T&M)
This task is for the consultant to create the basis for the development of the final design.
Tasks include:
A. Schaaf and Wheeler will develop 60% design documents for the preferred concept
and advance the design toward a bid-ready set. This work will include:
ATTY/AGR.2026.093/Schaaf & Wheeler Consulting Civil Engineers(Redwood Creek Bank Stabilization Near 707 Bradford) (Page 12 of 21)
