Schaaf and wheeler will coordinate with the City regarding access, construction <br />sequencing considerations, and potential utility conflicts. <br />C. Structural Engineering subconsultant, Biggs Cardosa Associates, Inc. (BCA) will <br />provide structural engineering for the rehabilitation improvements, including a site <br />visit with Schaaf and Wheeler, structural analysis, calculations, and preliminary <br />design and detailing for the steel sheet pile wall and the connection to the existing <br />channel. <br />Deliverables: electronic copies of the 60% plans, specifications, calculations, and <br />engineer’s estimate of anticipated construction costs. <br />Task 5. 90% Design Submittal (Plans, Specifications, and Cost Estimates), up to <br />$40,708 Time and Materials (T&M) <br />This task is for the consultant to advance the 60% progress documents to a 90% design <br />towards a bid-ready set. Tasks include: <br />A. Following City review of the 60% package, Schaaf and Wheeler and team will <br />advance the design to 90% completeness, incorporating City and agency input and <br />completing key design decisions needed for bidding. <br />B. The 90% submittal will include updated plans and details, near-final technical <br />specifications, and an updated engineer’s estimate. Schaaf and Wheeler will <br />perform interdisciplinary QA/QC and will coordinate with subconsultants to resolve <br />comments and finalize key design elements. <br />Deliverables: electronic copies of the 90% plans, specifications, calculations, and <br />estimate of anticipated construction costs.
