Page 1 of 6 <br />City of Redwood City 1017 Middlefield Road, Redwood City, CA. 94063 Tel: 650-780-7000 www.redwoodcity.org <br />STAFF REPORT <br />To the Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />From the City Manager <br />DATE: May 11, 2026 <br />SUBJECT <br />Program Year 2026 Annual Action Plan for the federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) <br />Program <br />SUMMARY <br />As an entitlement community, the City receives an annual allocation of CDBG funds from the Department <br />of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for affordable housing and community development needs. <br />Prior to receiving these funds from HUD, the City must develop an Annual Action Plan with community <br />and stakeholder input which identifies resources, actions, and activities that will be prioritized in the <br />upcoming year. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />1. Adopt a resolution approving the Program Year 2026 Annual Action Plan for Community Development <br />Block Grant (CDBG) funds; certifying that the City has followed its adopted Community Participation <br />Plan; and authorizing City Manager to submit an application for CDBG funds and execution and filing <br />of all documents pertaining thereto; and <br />2.
