Through
this community collaboration, CYDI hopes to ensure that young people will grow up with
the knowledge, skills, and social attributes they need for success in school, work and life
and ultimately improve the way our community perceives and values them.

CYDI partners are working to achieve the following outcomes by 2020:
1. The Redwood City community works with youth as partners in improving the health
and well-being of all people.
2. Youth have the knowledge, resources and self-confidence to pursue their passions
and reach their goals.
3. Adults and youth have developed trusting relationships and are working together to
improve their community.
4. Parents and caregivers have the knowledge, resources and self-confidence to
participate fn the community and improve their quality of life.
5. Community youth serving organizations are continually improving their efforts to
provide quality experiences for youth.
6. Mutually beneficial collaborations exist among organizations and institutions and
benefit all members of the community - from youth to seniors.

JGC and RWC 2020 are facilitating the implementation of this collaborative effort,
working together to access additional resources to continue and expand the work and
taking re~ponsibility for evaluating progress toward achieving key outcomes.

Impact
During 2009, CYDI accomplished the following:

1.
