Development of Community- : <br />I Based Mobility Services : <br /> <br />'" ~ ~~ - - - - . <br /> <br />The Alliance currently manages four community-based <br />shuttle routes: <br />)) Foster City Blue and Red lines <br /> <br />7B <br />Page 27 <br /> <br />I <br />L-- __ <br /> <br />)) Redwood City's Climate Best Express <br />)) South San Francisco Dasher Taxi <br /> <br />The four community shuttles generated a ridership of <br />107,000 in FY 2008/09. <br />These community shuttles fill gaps or supplement local <br />SamTrans services. In many cases, the cities involved ap- <br />proached the Alliance to plan and implement the commu- <br />nity shuttle in order to fill identified mobility gaps for their <br />residents and employees working in the City. <br /> <br />These community-based shuttles are not funded with the <br />Alliance's four primary funding sources. They required a <br />collaborative effort between the City and the Alliance to <br />develop a sustainable funding plan. <br /> <br />25 <br />
