Again, defining the Alliance's role and being clear <br />about focus was brought up by several people as some- <br />thing that needed to be clarified before moving forward. <br /> <br />II. What is your Administrative Vision for the <br />Alllancel <br />At least 50% of people had no particular thoughts on an <br />administrative vision for the Alliance. Of those who did <br />answer, most had particular suggestions about increas- <br />ing staff levels so that the programs and internal office <br />systems could be improved. Other suggestions Included <br />thoughts in improving the website. the shuttle call re- <br />sponse system and the Board. <br /> <br />12. What do you think of the Quality of the <br />Alliance's Servlcesl <br />Not surprisingly, the people most critical of the Alli- <br />ance's work were the staff members who were inter- <br />viewed. They are the people closest to the work of the <br />Alliance and were more likely to have views about how <br />they perform their work. Board and Supervisory Com- <br />mittee members spoke very highly of the quality of the <br />Alliance's services with only a few negative comments <br />about lack of focus, too little presence on the commu- <br />nity and lack of Involvement by some Board members. <br />These comments paled into Insignificance however, <br />when compared to the overwhelmingly positive com- <br />ments by the majority of people interviewed. <br /> <br />13. Is the Alliance Fulfilling the Community's <br />Needsl <br /> <br />Once again, comments were overwhelmingly positive. <br />Almost everyone thought that the Alliance had built <br />an excellent reputation in the community and that the <br />shuttle program being very popular with both employers <br />and commuters <br /> <br />14. How do you measure successl How could <br />you Improve the measurement processl <br />Most people were completely satisfied with the regu- <br />lar reporting presented to them about the Alliance's <br />programs. Others referenced the difficulties of measur- <br />ing outreach programs and the need for more funds to <br />automate shuttle ridership measurements. <br /> <br />I S, Do you think the Alliance's allocation of <br />resources is correctl <br />Most people had no views on this question or didn't <br />feel qualified to answer. When people did answer they <br />felt that allocation of resources was adequate or they <br />references the fact that the shuttle program accounted <br />for most of the Alliance's revenue and questioned the <br />variety of different ways the shuttles were funded. Oth- <br />ers pointed to the need for additional staff in various <br />programs. <br /> <br />16. If the Alliance's budget were halved, what <br />would you recommend dolngl <br />This theoretical question was aimed at getting people to <br />think about what their priorities would be If budget cuts <br />had to be made.
