SIX <br />(Exclusive of Amendment No. Four) <br />City of Redwood City and <br />Keech Properties, LLC <br />Page 9 <br /> <br />incursions of humans, pets, and feral animals into nearby tidal marshes. <br />Along the radio station parcels, the ten-foot-wide asphalt path shall be <br />constructed within a 27-foot-wide landscaped corridor between an arm of <br />the internal lagoon and the fence adjacent to the radio parcels. South and <br />east of the parking lot constructed adjacent to the "radio parcels", public <br />access shall be provided along two alignments: one shall consist of a 5- <br />foot-wide sidewalk and 5-foot-wide bicycle lanes in both directions along <br />Radio Road; the other shall consist of a 10-foot-wide asphalt pedestrian <br />and bicycle path constructed within a 30-foot-wide landscaped corridor <br />along the lagoon; <br /> <br />(2) Install three, prefabricated steel truss pedestrian bridges with wood plank <br />decking a minimum of 10 feet wide, and a culvert crossing to continue the <br />public access path across lagoons and the mitigation channel; <br /> <br />(3) Provide three, elevated observation decks to provide point access and <br />Bay views along the Lido parcel. These observation decks shall be <br />constructed high enough so that a seated observer may see Bay Slough <br />and Bird Island. One observation deck shall be constructed at the <br />northerly terminus of Canvasback Way, approximately six feet above <br />existing grade and be located above the easterly bank of the channel <br />separating the Lido development from seasonal wetlands, the raised <br />levee, and the Bay. Its terminus shall be approximately 50 feet from the <br />outboard marsh edge. The second observation deck shall be constructed <br />at the northeastern corner of the Lido development, be elevated six feet <br />above grade, be accessed by a wooden walkway, and end approximately <br />100 feet from the outboard tidal marshes. The third observation deck shall <br />be constructed near the inlet pipes for the lagoon, be accessed by a <br />wooden walkway, and include an overlook between the Lido lagoons. <br />This observation deck and walkway shall be located and constructed as <br />depicted in the attached Exhibits C (formerly Exhibit Gl) and D (formerly <br />Exhibit G2), except that the fence that will extend around the observation <br />deck and extend into the waterline of the two lagoons on each side of the <br />deck will be installed no closer than ten feet from the deck on the <br />bayward side" (Amendment No. One); <br /> <br />(4) Install two benches, one trash container, and two interpretive signs at <br />each of the four observation decks and benches at suitable locations along <br />approximately every 400 feet of path; and <br /> <br />(5) Provide five public parking lots, one near the entrance to the sewage <br />treatment plant with space for six vehicles, one at the northerly end of <br />Radio Road with space for 19 vehicles, one at the south end of the lagoon <br />along Canvasback Way with space for seven vehicles, one along <br />Shearwater Parkway near the boundary between Parcels G-3 and G-4 <br />with space for six vehicles, and one at the corner of Marine and <br />Shearwater Parkways with space initially for 6 vehicles, expanding up to <br />12 vehicles once this parcel is developed.
