Expansion of Distribution Pump Station to add 5 main pumps and associated
equipment, instrumentation, and programming as follows:
. Participate in evaluation of present design, installation, and operational data
. Modify and test existing PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) logic to facilitate
additions to facility and changes to operations to mitigate existing problems and
achieve project goals
. Modify and test existing Panel-View display unit to accommodate above
changes
. Modify existing SCADA system to accommodate above changes for a seamless
integration

ESTABLISH PROJECT MANAGEMENT METHODS (2)
. This project will be coordinated through Redwood City's Engineering and Construction
Division, Public Works Operations, Construction Management, and Kennedy Jenks .
Engineers.

REVIEW DESIGN DOCUMENTS (2)
. Kennedy Jenks En,gineers
. Current as-built documentation and programs
. Documentation assembled from first year of operations

PROGRAM DESIGN (2)

Design program changes to accommodate new equipment and operations while integrating
new equipment into existing control scheme.

PROGRAMMING (2)

Programming will be implemented and installed to minimize disruptions to current
operations

TESTING (2)

Includes testing of external hardware (VFDs, flow meters, pressure transducers) connected
to PLC. (Independent tests and witnessed tests)

Independent testing of control strategies and interlocks. Following independent tests, tests
will be repeated for witnessing by engineer.
