<br />2. Signed certifications stating that each pumping unit has been properly installed, <br />adjusted, and tested and is ready for full time operation (see Paragraph 3.02). <br /> <br />G. Signed certification that the variable frequency drive (VFD) submittal from the <br />Contractor (under separate contract) has been reviewed and found to be compatible <br />with and meets the operational and performance requirements of the pumping units <br />(see Paragraph 2.04). <br /> <br />1.04 FACTORY PERFORMANCE TESTING <br /> <br />A. The City reserves the right to witness the factory testing of the pumps. Supplier <br />shall notify the City at least two weeks in advance of the scheduled factory <br />performance testing of all pumps. If the City responds in writing that it waives the <br />witnessed factory testing, then non-witnessed factory testing may be conducted. <br />Submit certified factory performance test results in accordance with the Hydraulic <br />Institute. Pump assembly shall be tested with the job motor. Receive favorable <br />review of test results prior to shipping the equipment. <br /> <br />1.05 COORDINATION <br /> <br />A. If necessary following completion of manufacture and factory testing, the pump <br />manufacturer shall store and remain responsible for the pumps, motors, and <br />associated equipment at the manufacturer's facility until instructed in writing by the <br />City to release the pumps for delivery. The maximum expected length of time of <br />storage is two (2) weeks. <br /> <br />B. The Contractor, under separate contract, will assume responsibility for the <br />equipment once it has been delivered to the site in new condition and accepted by <br />the Buyer. <br /> <br />C. Furnish special tools and accessories required for the proper installation, alignment, <br />and testing of the pumps and motors and indicate said items in the scope of supply. <br />1.06 WARRANTY <br /> <br />A. The warranty shall comply with the requirements of the applicable provisions in the <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />B. The equipment shall be warranted to be free from defects in workmanship, design, <br />and materials. If any part of the equipment should fail during the warranty period, it <br />shall be repaired or replaced and the equipment restored to proper service at no <br />expense to the City. Warrantee shall include furnishing and installation of any part <br />or material that does not meet the requirements of the approved shop drawings or <br />this Section. <br /> <br />C. The Contractor, under separate contract, will warrantee the installation and <br />coordination of elements provided by the Contractor for a period of two years from <br />the date of startup.
