DIVISION 5. SPECIAL PROVISIONS - RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS <br /> <br />Section 3.80. General Application. <br />With the exception of temporary signs, real estate signs and exempt signs, any sign <br />displayed on any property in a residential district shall comply with the provisions set <br />forth in this Division. <br /> <br />Section 3.81. Sin.qle Family Residential. Neighborhood identification signs and <br />neighborhood announcement signs are subject to review and approval by the <br />Architectural Review Committee. Such signs shall comply with the following <br />requirements: <br /> <br /> a. Neighborhood Identification Signs. One (1) freestanding sign up to twenty- <br />four (24) square feet in area and six (6) feet in height may be displayed to identify the <br />primary vehicular entrance to a neighborhood. Additional neighborhood identification <br />signs may be allowed by the Architectural Review Committee for each additional <br />vehicular entrance to a neighborhood. No such sign may be located within the public <br />right-of-way or on other public property except pursuant to a revocable permit approved <br />by the City Council, No such sign shall be located in a visibility triangle or at any other <br />location where it could be hazardous to motorists, bicyclists or pedestrians. <br /> <br /> b. Neighborhood Announcement Signs. A single-family residential neighborhood <br />may be allowed one (1) readerboard sign up to twelve (12) square feet in area and six <br />(6) feet in height to announce community meetings, events and other activities. The <br />location of each sign shall be subject to review and approval by the Architectural <br />Review Committee; provided, that no such sign shall be located on public property <br />except pursuant to a revocable permit approved by the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 3.82. Multi-Family Residential. Multi-family residential property with less <br />than one hundred (100) feet of primary lot frontage may display one (1) wall sign or <br />freestanding sign up to ten (10) square feet in area. Property with one hundred (100) <br />feet or more of primary lot frontage may display one (1) sign up to twenty-four (24) <br />square feet in area. No sign shall exceed six (6) feet in height. <br /> <br />Section 3.83. Churches and Public/Quasi-Public Uses. The following signs may be <br />allowed for a church or public and/or quasi-public use: <br />a. Identification Signs. One (1) building sign or freestanding sign up to twenty- <br />four (24) square feet in area and six (6) feet in height may be allowed. On <br />corner lots, one (1) additional building sign up to ten (10) square feet in area <br />may be allowed, provided that not more than one (1) sign is displayed on any <br />frontage. <br /> <br /> b. Readerboard Signs.
