Section 3.61.9. Awning. An overhead structure attached to a building wall and that <br /> consists of fabric or other material covering a frame extending at least twelve (12) <br /> inches from the face of a building. <br /> <br /> Section 3.61.10. Awning Sign. A sign that is painted, printed or stenciled onto the <br /> surface of an awning. <br /> <br /> Section 3.61.11. Banner, Architectural. A permanent sign made of plastic, canvas, <br /> fabric, or other material secured on the top and bottom to brackets that extend <br /> perpendicular from a building wall. <br /> <br /> Section 3.61.12. Banner, Temporary. A sign made of plastic, canvas, fabric, or other <br /> material that is attached to, or suspended from, a building wall, eave, or parapet and is <br /> displayed for the time period specified in Division 6 ("Temporary Signs") of this Article. <br /> <br /> Section 3.61.13. Barber Pole Sign. A rotating or non-rotating cylindrical pole with a <br /> red, white and blue spiral-striped design that traditionally identifies a barbershop. <br /> Section 3.61.14. Billboard. A freestanding sign that exceeds the size limit set forth <br /> under the provisions of this Article. <br /> <br />Section 3.61.i6. Blade Sign. A pedestrian-oriented sign fabricated from wood or <br />other solid material suspended under a bracket that is mounted perpendicular to a <br />building. <br /> <br />Section 3.61.16. Building Elevation. A two-dimensional, scaled drawing of the front, <br />rear or side of a building. <br /> <br />Section 3.61.17. Building Facade. An exterior building wall facing a street, or parking <br />lot. <br /> <br />Section 3.61.18. Building Face. The outer surface on the exterior of a building wall. <br /> <br />Section 3.61.19. Building Sign. A sign painted, printed or mounted on a building <br />wall, parapet or fascia that is subject to uniform standards under the provisions of <br />Division 4 ("Special Provisions - Nonresidential Districts") of this Article. Examples <br />include, but are not limited to, advertising artwork, architectural banners, awning signs, <br />blade signs, canopy signs, projecting signs, under-canopy signs and wall signs. <br />Window signs shall not be considered building signs. <br /> <br />Section 3.61.20. Canopy. ,An overhead structure, other than an awning, that is <br />attached to a building wall and that extends at least twelve (12) inches from the face of <br />the building. <br /> <br />Section 3.61.21. Canopy Sign. A sign that is painted, printed or stenciled onto the <br />surface of a canopy. <br /> <br />Section 3.61.22. Commercial Sign. A sign that identifies, advertises or attracts <br />attention to a business, product, service or activity, other than a nonprofit event. <br /> <br />Section 3.6t.23. Community Activity Sign.
