Minute Order 10-126 <br /> <br />................................................................................. <br /> <br />7. PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />A. Levy. of Benefit Assessments for Fiscal Year 2010/2011 for the Seaport <br />Centre Maintenance District. <br /> <br />Peter Vorametsanti, City Engineer, presented the topic clarifying that a five-year <br />timeframe is more reasonable and will be helpful in the long run. <br />Mr. Abrams interjected and clarified that the two public hearings (7.A and 7.B) could be <br />combined and heard simultaneously. <br /> <br />Mayor Ira opened the two Public Hearings and welcome public comment. <br />Public Comment <br />Don Warren said he was representing two major property owners for Seaport Centre and <br />that he was very impressed with the Council deliberations on the budget. He <br />complimented two city staffers, Peter Vorametsanti and Grace Le for being <br />knowledgeable, understanding their needs, putting in the effort and time, and being very <br />gracious. He also spoke favorably about the 5year budget plan preparation. <br /> <br />Mayor Ira closed the Public Hearings <br />MIS Bain/Seybert to close the public hearings. Motion carried unanimously by voice <br />vote. <br /> <br />Council took a break for City Clerk Vanderlinden and City Attorney Abrams went into a <br />secured area (caucus room) to count ballots. <br /> <br />PiercelAguirre to approve both recommendations for both items 7.A. and 7.B. Motion <br />carried 6-0 by electronic vote with Council Member Foust absent <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br />Adopt resolution for the Seaport Centre Maintenance District, contingent to the <br />result of the District's property owners' election, to: <br /> <br />1.
