<br />C(Q)~)f <br /> <br />Whereas, the 45 day public review period on the DEIR closed at 5:00 PM on <br /> <br />April 29, 2010; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, on April 29, 2009, the Port of Redwood City sent an Notice of <br /> <br />Preparation ("NOP") to governmental agencies and organizations and persons interested in <br /> <br />the proposed project to solicit input and to identify any concerns or issues that should be <br /> <br />included in the EIR; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the NOP was circulated for 30 days, with the review period closing <br /> <br />on May 29, 2009; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the NOP requested that agencies with regulatory authority over any <br /> <br />aspect of the project describe that authority and identify the relevant environmental <br /> <br />issues that should be addressed in the EIR and interested members of the public also <br /> <br />were invited to comment; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, comments were received and reviewed by Port staff and Port's <br /> <br />consultants and written comments were prepared; and <br /> <br />Whereas, the DEIR together with the Response to Comments Document <br /> <br />constitute the Final EIR ("FEIR") for the proposed project; and <br /> <br />Whereas, the FEIR consists of the D EIR, comments and recommendations <br /> <br />received on the DEIR either verbatim or in a summary, a list of persons, organizations <br /> <br />and public agencies commenting on the DEIR, the responses of the Port to significant <br />"'\ <br />environmental points raised in review and consultation process and an their information <br /> <br />added by the Port; and <br /> <br />Reso- 169; 4:59:50 PM <br />:\shared\Port\Reso <br />FXS <br />07/28/2010 <br /> <br />3 <br />
