i <br /> 6.1 C <br /> Page 4 <br /> Continuing Guidance <br /> The Housing and Human Concems Committee shall follow the terms set forth in these By- <br /> Laws as prevailing operating guidance. Further admirustrative procedwes of the Committee <br /> shall be identified in Administrative Guidelines referenced herein and incorporated into these <br /> by-laws. Said Administrative Guidelines shall be subject to change by the majority vote of <br /> the Committee to meet ongoing procedural needs. No change which would alter or impact <br /> the intent of these by-laws shall be made without prior appro�al of the City Council. <br /> ARTICLE II <br /> MEMBERSHIP <br /> Section 2.1 Membership <br /> � The Committee shall consist of sever�(7� voting members appointed by.the Council. The ._ .--� ����a � <br /> voting members shall be residents and electors of the City who have demonstrated an interest �� oeieted:9 <br /> in, and a commitment to, the objectives and purposes of the Committee; provided, that no <br /> more than two(2)such members may be residents of the unincorporated area of the County of <br /> San Mateo within the City's Planning Sphere of Influence or in the vicinity thereaf. <br /> Section 2.2 Powers of Members <br /> Individual members shall act as members of the Committee and the individual members shall <br /> have no individual power. <br /> Section 2.3 Term ot Office <br /> The term of off'ice for each member of the Committee shall be four(4)years expiring on May <br /> 31,of the fourth yeaz;provided,however,that appointments to the Committee shall be made <br /> such that terms shall expire in even-numbered years. <br /> Section 2.4 Resignation <br /> Any member may resign at any time by giving written natice of such resignation to the <br /> Chairperson of the committee and to the City Council. Such notice shall take effect at the <br /> r�._.-__-__.........._.__ <br /> ____ ---- -- <br /> time specified in he notice.The acceptance of such resi�nation shall not be necessar}�to make . -�ne�:�e notice <br /> it effective. <br /> Section 2.5 Attendance <br /> Suggested: Any member who has three (3) consecutive absences from regularly scheduled <br /> meetings without providing the chairperson af the Committee with prior notice, or any <br /> member who has five (5) absences from regularly scheduled meeting in any consecutive <br /> twelve months without providing the chairperson of the Committee with prior notice shall be <br /> deemed to have resigned. <br />
