available to persons with disabilities on an equivalent basis with those
<br /> received by non - disabled persons CHDO shall agree to be in
<br /> compliance with Section 504 requirements by developing a plan for
<br /> compliance to be submitted to the Section 504 Coordinator as soon as
<br /> possible but not later than by the issuance of building permits for the
<br /> Cedar Street Apartment construction.
<br /> b. Affirmative Action.
<br /> CHDO certifies that it is in compliance with the Equal Employment
<br /> Opportunity Requirements of Executive Order No 11246, as amended by
<br /> Executive Order No 1375, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the
<br /> California Fair Employment Practices Act and any other federal or state laws
<br /> pertaining to equal employment opportunity, and that it will not discriminate
<br /> against any employee or applicant for employment or opportunity to purchase
<br /> the dwelling to be built on the "property." on the basis of race, religion, color,
<br /> national origin, ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, marital status,
<br /> sexual preference, or political affiliation in matters pertaining to occupancy,
<br /> hiring, training, upgrading, transfers, compensation or termination.
<br /> c. Fair Employment Practices
<br /> (1) In the performance of this contract, the CHDO agrees to not
<br /> discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment
<br /> because of race, religion, color, national origin, ancestry, sex, age,
<br /> physical or mental disability, marital status, sexual preference, or
<br /> political affiliation. The CHDO agrees to take affirmative action to
<br /> ensure that applicants are employed, and that employees are treated
<br /> during employment, without regard to their race, religion, color,
<br /> national origin, ancestry, sex, age, physical or mental disability, marital
<br /> status, sexual preference, or political affiliation. Such action shall
<br /> include, but not be limited to the following: employment, upgrading,
<br /> demotion or transfers; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff or
<br /> termination; rates of pay or other forms of compensation; and selection
<br /> for training, including apprenticeship. The CHDO agrees to post in
<br /> conspicuous places, available to employees and applicants for
<br /> employment, notices to be provided by the City of Redwood City
<br /> setting forth the provisions of this Fair Employment Practices section.
<br /> (2) The CHDO agrees to permit access to his records of employment,
<br /> employment advertisements, application forms, and other pertinent
<br /> data and records by the State Fair Employment Practices
<br /> Commission, or any other agency of the State of California designated
<br /> by the awarding authority, for the purposes of investigation to ascertain
<br /> compliance with the Fair Employment Practices section of this
<br /> contract.
