&.2 C- 32- <br />TRANSPORTATION DEVELOPMENT ACT (TDA) <br />FUND MANAGEMENT <br />PURPOSE: <br />C /CAG receives federal funds each year under the Transportation Development Act <br />(TDA). The TDA program provides funding for pedestrian and bicycle projects. The <br />C /CAG Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) is responsible for <br />evaluating and recommending to C /CAG those projects to be funded by Transportation <br />Development Act (TDA) Article 3 revenues. <br />BENEFITS: <br />Facilitate investment in bicycle and pedestrian facilities. <br />Increased bicycle and pedestrian use can improve congestion and air quality. <br />Bicycle map will facilitate use of bicycle for use both for commute and recreation. <br />C /CAG BOARD ROLE: <br />• Determine long -range goals for bicycle and pedestrian improvements in San <br />Mateo County. <br />• Solicit projects to accomplish these goals and make recommendations to the <br />Metropolitan Transportation Commission for the allocation of funds. <br />
