72-1411 <br />Grants to Cities/ County for the implementation of stormwater management <br />_ systems including site insphctions of automobile repair facilities and <br />enforcement as necessary regarding the handling and disposal of automobile <br />waste and debris. <br />Grants to Cities/ County to increase street sweeping to remove vehicle debris <br />from the streets/ roads. <br />Support, participate, expand, and increase Countywide participation in <br />hazardous waste recycling programs for vehicle debris. <br />Develop and print publications on the appropriate handling of vehicle waste <br />and debris by the various contributors (Vehicle owner, automotive shops, <br />businesses, etc). <br />Countywide monitoring and stormwater management studies on vehicle debris <br />and how best to reduce or eliminate its contribution to pollution in the waters. <br />Countywide training of City and County staffs on Best Practices for <br />stormwater management and the permit requirements that need to be met. <br />Pay the State Stormwater Pollution Prevention Program Permit Fee. This fee <br />has been increased by 40 times over a three -year period by the State. <br />Grants to Cities/ County to pay for the impact to City/County streets/ roads <br />projects of the State mandated C.3 requirements that mandates the addition of <br />special filtration systems to catch and filter the polluted rainwater from the <br />roadway and parking lot surface. <br />The motor vehicle funds will be limited to only fund those stormwater pollution <br />prevention programs that directly address the negative impact on <br />creeks /streams /Bay /ocean caused by motor vehicles and its infrastructure. <br />
