8A -9 <br />$18,000 CDBG Human Investment Project Homesharing Help & Information <br />Human Investment Program, 364 South Railroad Avenue, San Mateo. These funds will be used <br />to provide homesharing help and match people seeking housing with others willing to share their <br />accommodations citywide for eligible to low and very-low income residents. <br />$5,000 CDBG Kidango Affordable Childcare Program <br />Kidango, 1968A Old County Road, Redwood City. Funds will be used to subsidize child care costs <br />for teen parents and low income families. <br />$25,000 CDBG La Raze Homelessness Prevention & Eviction Defense Project <br />La Raza Centro Legal, Inc. 474 Valencia Street, Suite 295, San Francisco. This is a citywide <br />program that offers housing advocacy services to prevent homelessness and a targeted outreach <br />program for seniors with housing issues including assessing and responding to their basic legal <br />needs. <br />$12,000 CDBG Mental Health Association Spring Street Shelter <br />Mental Health Association of San Mateo County, 2686 Spring Street, Redwood City, CA. This is a <br />15 bed emergency shelter for homeless mentally ill and is offered citywide. <br />$7,000 CDBG Ombudsman Program of San Mateo County <br />Ombudsman Program of San Mateo, Inc. 300 Piedmont Avenue, Suite 425, San Bruno, CA. This <br />program will pay for advocacy and follow -up on 54 residential care facilities in Redwood City. <br />$12,000 CDBG PAL Youth Activities League <br />Redwood City Police Activities League, 1301 Maple Street, Redwood City. These funds will be <br />used towards the construction and furnishing of a new youth facility at Taft School. The space will <br />be used for academic, gang and violence intervention programs targeted to at risk youth citywide. <br />$10,000 CDBG Peninsula Volunteers Adult Day Care Support <br />Peninsula Volunteers, Inc., 800 Middle Avenue, Menlo Park, CA. This is a citywide program that <br />provides adult day care support services for frail, elderly disabled adults. <br />$20,000 CDBG Redwood Parent's Nursery School Playground Compliance <br />Redwood Parent's Nursery School, 3997 Jefferson Ave. Redwood City. These funds will be used <br />to purchase playground equipment for a Nursery School Cooperative. <br />$7,000 CDBG Samaritan House Safe Harbor Shelter <br />Samaritan House, 295 North Access Road, South San Francisco. These funds will be used to <br />provide emergency shelter and transitional housing to Redwood City residents when other <br />shelters are full <br />615,000 CDBG Shelter Network Maple Street Shelter & Transitional Housing <br />Shelter Network, 1580 -A Maple Street, Redwood City. Funds will be used to provide emergency <br />shelter, transitional housing and comprehensive support services citywide for homeless single <br />adults. <br />
