<br />Mr. Duncan Jones <br /> <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />January 16.2003 <br /> <br />Caltrans Landscape Architect requested that the interchange be uniformly landscaped <br />throughout due to major reconstruction, and that the plans comply with the new setback <br />requirements for sight distance and clear recovery zone. <br /> <br />Caltrans has issued a new Storm Water Quality Handbook dated September 2002 that <br />must be complied with before Caltrans will approve a Project Report or issue an <br />Encroachment Permit for construction. <br /> <br />The City of Belmont has requested that their overlay project on Ralston Avenue from the <br />overcrossing structure to Granada Street be added to the interchange modification project. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />An Alternative Analysis Study was prepared and submitted to Caltrans for review and <br />approval. <br /> <br />In general, the additional scope of work includes the following tasks: <br /> <br />1. Revise the Draft Project Report. <br /> <br />2. Revise the Geometric Approval Drawing (GAD). <br /> <br />3. Prepare a Supplemental Fact Sheet Exception to Mandatory Design Standards. <br /> <br />4. Revise the Drainage Report. <br /> <br />5. Modify the 65% Plans. <br /> <br />6. Sanitary Sewer Force Main Relocation Plans. <br /> <br />7. Type Selection Report and Bridge Design. <br /> <br />8. Box Culvert Bridge Design. <br /> <br />9. Box Culvert Parapet Wall Design. <br /> <br />10. Revise the Right of Way Maps. <br /> <br />II. Army Corps and RWQCB Permitting, Mitigation & Monitoring Plan. <br /> <br />12. Island Parkway Bridge Foundation Report and Geotechnical Design and Materials <br />Report. <br /> <br />13. Prepare Storm Water Data Report. <br /> <br />14. Prepare Alternative Analysis Study. <br /> <br />1. Revise the Draft Project Report <br /> <br />The draft Project Report will be revised to reflect the changes in the diagonal on ramp to <br />northbound Route 101 and the Island Parkway direct connection profiles.
