6.1 C
Page 15
OPTION 1; Under this option the ertire Finger Park Tract would be subject ta intensive level
inventory and evaluation. The anticipated Option 1 Study Area for historic architectural resources is
assumed to include up to 30 historic resources located within the Finger Park Tract, as shown in San
Mateo County Map Book 4, pae 55 (1906). The resources that are 50 years old or older would be
inventoried and evaluated on DPR523 forms. I
OPTI4N 2: The anticipated Option 2 Study Area for historic architectural resources would include
tlie proposed project area, plus ail adjoining legal parcels, and seven legal pazcels located across I
Finger Avenue in Wellesley Park. The resources in this study area that are 50 years old or older —
and that have not been previously evaluated — would be subject to intcnsive level survey and would
be inventoried and evaluated on DPR523 forms. Approximately 5 resources would require DPR523
forms. The remainder of the Finer Park Tract, and parcels across the street in the Wellesley Park
subdivision, would be subject to reconnaissance level survey and general characterization, but no
DPR523 forms would be prepared. This option would include identificatian oF a poteniial district, but
may recommend the need for intensive level survey of the remainder of the Finger Park Tract.
The level of etFori necessary to complete this evaluation will depend upon the City's input, and is
preliminarily estimated for less-intensive Option 2 to be $33,000, subject to City direction. We
propose to work with City staff and the historic subconsultant to determine the appropriate scope of
historic work necessary, and finalize the historic work scope, once the level of effort is confirmed
acceptable to the City.
lf die Finger Ave Tract is determined to be eligible as a historic district, under either the Cal Register
and/or City criteria, an assessment would be needed to determine;
i} Whether the site's existing buildings aze contributin structures and wuld their
demolition substantially affect the integrity/eligibility of the potential historic distriet;
ii) Whether the intraduction of the new subdivision homes in the Finger Ave Tract context
would compromise the potential historic district's integrity.
Mitigation measures wiil be identified for sinificant cultural resource impacts, as appropriate.
Cordilleras Creck impacts
The EIR will evaluate the potential for the project to result in impacts to Cordilleras Creek in the
followin areas:
Bivlogicu! Resonres
The 2006/2007 biology studies will be peer reviewed by WRA Emirorrnenta! Constrltants. As parl of
this peer review, a WRA biologist will conduct an updated literature review including a CDFG
California Natural Diversity Database record search. A brief site visit will also be made to view
current site conditions. A letter report will be prepared outlining any recommended revisions or
shortcomings in the 2006 report. The estimated cost for the preparation of a Peer Review letter report
is S3,235. In the event that WRA, DJP&A, and the City agree that a completaly new Biological
Resources Assessment is warcanted, the estimated cost is $6,000.
Based upon this existing information and any additional input from IVRA Emironmemtu!
Cunsultunts , the EIR will:
This asse.ment would be campleted as an additional task and is not part af the proposed EIR scope.
3
